가시쥐과 또는 아메리카가시쥐과(Echimyidae)는 신열대구에 서식하는 가시쥐와 그 근연종을 포함하고 있는 설치류과의 하나이다.[1] 호저아목에 속하는 설치류 중에서 가장 많은 종이 속해 있다.[2] 현재 남아메리카에서 주로 발견되며, 이 중의 3종은 중앙아메리카에 분포한다.[3][4]
