2024-01-01 '편집 도구 모음' 소도구를 이용한 br 태그(줄 바꿈) 삽입, big 태그(글자 크게) 삽입에 대해서

<br>은 XHTML 표준에 맞지 않기 때문에 되도록 쓰지 않습니다. 부득이 써야 하는 경우에는 <br />과 같이 씁니다. <br />은 XHTML 표준에는 맞지만 몇몇 웹 브라우저에서 지원하지 않습니다.

단추를 눌러 입력할 시에 적절한 태그(<br />, <span style="font-size:larger"></span>)가 삽입되도록 편집기 수정이 필요하다고 여겨져 글을 남깁니다.

'환경 설정> 편집>편집기'에서 '편집 도구 모음 활성화하기'(설명: '2010년 위키텍스트 편집기'라고도 합니다.) 소도구(※위키백과:소도구, 특수:소도구)를 활성화하면, 여러가지 단추를 눌러서 목록 문법, nowiki 태그, 줄 바꿈 태그, 첨자 등을 삽입할 수 있습니다. 여기서 엔터키 표시(↵) 단추를 누르면 줄 바꿈 태그를 삽입할 수 있는데 '<br>' 꼴로 삽입됩니다. 그리고 big 태그가 <big>큰 글자</big> 삽입됩니다.

줄 바꿈 태그(br)는 편집 지침에서 설명되고 있으며, big 태그의 경우는 린트 오류 관련하여 수정이 필요했었던 것으로 확인하여 내용을 추가했고, 관련 편집필터(※특수:편집필터/98)에도 추가하였던 것으로 기억합니다. big 태그는 당시로서는 수정이 필요하다고 판단하였던 것 같은데, 현 시점에서 이 부분이 정확히는 모르겠습니다. big 태그도 수정이 필요하다면 적절한 수정을 바라며, 수정이 필요없다면 관련된 다른 문서(위키백과:린트 오류, 특수:편집필터/98)를 고치기 위하여 수정할 필요가 없다는 확인 말씀을 부탁드립니다. 감사합니다. -- 메이 (토론) 2024년 1월 1일 (월) 03:13 (KST)

말씀하신 내용은 모든 언어 위키백과에 해당되는 사항인 듯 보입니다. 파브리케이터에 관련 내용이 있는지 확인이 필요합니다. 그리고 현재 최신 사양(HTML5 기준)에서는 <br>이 표준이고 그 외(<br /> 등)는 하위 호환을 위해 남겨집니다. 관련 내용이 편집 지침에서 최신화되어 있지 않네요. --ted (토론) 2024년 1월 3일 (수) 11:32 (KST)

Recent changes

• mediawiki2latex is a tool that converts wiki content into the formats of LaTeX, PDF, ODT, and EPUB. The code now runs many times faster due to recent improvements. There is also an optional Docker container you can install on your local machine.
• The way that Random pages are selected has been updated. This will slowly reduce the problem of some pages having a lower chance of appearing. [1]

Changes later this week

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 9 January. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 10 January. It will be on all wikis from 11 January (calendar). [2][3]

Reusing references: Can we look over your shoulder?

Apologies for writing in English.

The Technical Wishes team at Wikimedia Deutschland is planning to make reusing references easier. For our research, we are looking for wiki contributors willing to show us how they are interacting with references.

• The format will be a 1-hour video call, where you would share your screen. More information here.
• Interviews can be conducted in English, German or Dutch.
• Compensation is available.
• Sessions will be held in January and February.
• Sign up here if you are interested.
• Please note that we probably won’t be able to have sessions with everyone who is interested. Our UX researcher will try to create a good balance of wiki contributors, e.g. in terms of wiki experience, tech experience, editing preferences, gender, disability and more. If you’re a fit, she will reach out to you to schedule an appointment.

Recent changes

• Pages that use the JSON contentmodel will now use tabs instead of spaces for auto-indentation. This will significantly reduce the page size. [4]
• Gadgets and personal user scripts may now use JavaScript syntax introduced in ES6 (also known as "ES2015") and ES7 ("ES2016"). MediaWiki validates the source code to protect other site functionality from syntax errors, and to ensure scripts are valid in all supported browsers. Previously, Gadgets could use the requiresES6 option. This option is no longer needed and will be removed in the future. [5]
• Bot passwords and owner-only OAuth consumers can now be restricted to allow editing only specific pages. [6]
• You can now thank edits made by bots. [7]
• An update on the status of the Community Wishlist Survey for 2024 has been published. Please read and give your feedback.

Changes later this week

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 16 January. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 17 January. It will be on all wikis from 18 January (calendar). [8][9]
• Starting on January 17, it will not be possible to login to Wikimedia wikis from some specific old versions of the Chrome browser (versions 51–66, released between 2016 and 2018). Additionally, users of iOS 12, or Safari on Mac OS 10.14, may need to login to each wiki separately. [10]
• The jquery.cookie module was deprecated and replaced with the mediawiki.cookie module last year. A script has now been run to replace any remaining uses, and this week the temporary alias will be removed. [11]

Future changes

• Wikimedia Deutschland is working to make reusing references easier. They are looking for people who are interested in participating in individual video calls for user research in January and February.

A new feature for previewing references on your wiki

Apologies for writing in English. If you can translate this message, that would be much appreciated.

Hi. As announced some weeks ago ^{[1] [2]}, Wikimedia Deutschland’s Technical Wishes team introduced Reference Previews to many wikis, including this one. This feature shows popups for references in the article text.

While this new feature is already usable on your wiki, most people here are not seeing it yet because your wiki has set a gadget as the default for previewing references. We suggest removing the default flag from this gadget on your wiki. That will mean:

• The new default for reference popups on your wiki will be Reference Previews.
• However, if you want to keep using the gadget, you can still enable it in your personal settings.

The benefit of having Reference Previews as the default is that the user experience will be consistent across wikis and with the Page Previews feature, and that the software will be easier to maintain overall.

If your wiki wants to make this change, you can remove the default flag yourself or ask the Technical Wishes team to remove it for you, ideally by February 12. – Kind regards, Johanna Strodt (WMDE), 2024년 1월 23일 (화) 18:40 (KST)

Recent changes

• Starting Monday January 29, all talk pages messages' timestamps will become a link. This link is a permanent link to the comment. It allows users to find the comment they are looking for, even if this comment was moved elsewhere. This will affect all wikis except for the English Wikipedia. You can read more about this change on Diff or on Mediawiki.org. [15]
• There are some improvements to the CAPTCHA to make it harder for spam bots and scripts to bypass it. If you have feedback on this change, please comment on the task. Staff are monitoring metrics related to the CAPTCHA, as well as secondary metrics such as account creations and edit counts.

Changes later this week

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 30 January. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 31 January. It will be on all wikis from 1 February (calendar). [16][17]
• On February 1, a link will be added to the "Tools" menu to download a QR code that links to the page you are viewing. There will also be a new 특수:QrCode page to create QR codes for any Wikimedia URL. This addresses the #19 most-voted wish from the 2023 Community Wishlist Survey. [18]
• Gadgets which only work in some skins have sometimes used the targets option to limit where you can use them. This will stop working this week. You should use the skins option instead. [19]
