카코미슬고양이(Bassariscus sumichrasti)는 아메리카너구리과에 속하며 야행성, 수상성 그리고 잡식성 포유류의 일종이다.[2] 다습한 열대, 상록수 삼림 지대와 산악 숲 서식지를 좋아하며, 계절을 따라 건조한 낙엽 숲으로 이동하기도 한다.
