이악어목

이악어목(Lampriformes 또는 Lampridiformes)은 경골어류 분류군의 하나이다. 7과 12속으로 구성되어 있으며, 심해어를 중심으로 21종을 포함하고 있다.

이악어목 어류는 모두 해수어로, 심해에 사는 종류가 많다. 전세계의 온대 및 열대 지역의 외양에 넓게 분포한다. 많게는 해저로부터 떨어져 사는 중층 유영성 어류로, 점매가리과 등 일부만이 대륙사면에도 분포하는 저서어류이다.

대표어종인 붉평치는 다랑어 주낙 낚시줄에, 또 꼬리투라치는 가끔 연안 정치망에 의해 어획되어^[1], 식용으로 여겨지는 일도 있지만, 수산업에서의 중요성은 낮다. 나머지 종류의 상당수는 지극히 드물게 밖에 포획되지 않고^[1]^[2], 이용되는 일도 거의 없다.
