마다가스카르솔새류(Malagasy warblers)는 새로 등록된 명금류 분류군 중의 하나이다. 2010년 마다가스카르솔새과(Bernieridae)로 공식 명명되었다.[1] 숲에서 사는 작은 조류로 현재, 8개 속에 11종으로 이루어져 있다. 모두 마다가스카르 섬의 토착종이다.

이 분류군은 1934년에 이미 단계통군으로 제안되었지만(Salomonsen 1934), 이 분류군에 대한 전통적인 분류는 전문적인 연구 부족과 수렴 진화로 인한 오류때문에 오래도록 유지되었다.

이들 종들의 몇몇 종은 아주 일부만이 알려져 있으며, 아주 최근에 겨우 과학계에 알려졌다. 아페르테트라카는 1972년에, Cryptosylvicola randriansoloi는 1996년에야 겨우 기록되었다. 아페르테트라카는 검은테트라카와 함께 서식지 감소로 멸종 위협을 받고 있으며, 멸종 취약종으로 등록되어 있다. 대부분의 마다가스카르솔새류는 습기가 있는 마다가스카르 섬 동부 지역의 우림에서 서식하지만, 몇몇 종은 섬 남서부의 건조 지대에서 발견된다. 식충성 조류로 먹이를 잡는 동안에 6마리 이상이 집단을 형성한다.
