Why is it 'ㅔ'?[편집]

I'm Malaysian and I'm not good in Korean, but I'm quite interested about Korean culture and language. I'm currently studying Korean language.

By the way, why is it 'ㅔ"? Actually e in Malay should be written as 'ㅡ'. The pronunciation of 'e' in Malay is not same as e in English, but for example, something like de in French. I can't speak Korean properly but I hope somebody can change the title of this article. Thanks.
