프리토리아 대학교 콘라드 J. 베스마르 교수(Prof. CJ Wethmar) 세계개혁신학회 모임 2009년 7월 7일 프랑스 엑상프로방스

콘라드 요한네스 베스마르(Conrad Johannes Wethmar, 1943년 5월 25일 - )는 남아공화국의 조직신학자, 개혁신학자이며 프리토리아 대학교(University of Pretoria)의 명예교수이다. 그는 남아공화국 요하네스버그의 서쪽 도시인 플로리다(Florida)에서 태어나고 자랐다. 스텔렌보스 대학교에서 고전학, 철학과 신학을 공부하고 요한 하인즈(J. Heyns)에게 영향을 받았으며, 1970년 네덜란드로 유학하여 1977년 암스테르담 자유대학교(Free University, Amsterdam)에서 베르까우어 박사로부터 조직신학 분야로 신학박사(Th D, Systematic Theology)을 받았다. 더반 웨스빌 대학교에서 1977년부터 1980년까지 교수를 하였다. 1981년부터 2008년까지 프리토리아 대학교에서 조직신학을 가르쳤다. 신학부 학장을 역임하였다. 2013년이후 North West 대학교에서 외부교수로 개혁신학을 연구한다. 그는 조직신학(교리학) 뿐만아니라 교리 해석학, 기독론과 교회론에 연구와 공헌을 하였다. 신학이 교회를 위해 존재하며 설교를 통해서 교회를 도와야 한다고 주장한다. 25명의 박사제자를 키웠는데 그중에 한국의 제자로는 안명준 교수, 유태화 교수, 심명석 교수, 유창영 교수, 김용준 교수, 안성은 박사가 있다.
