브루스 월키(Bruce K. Waltke, 1930년 8월 30일) 구약과 히브리어 분야에서 미국의 복음주의적 개혁주의 교수이다. 그는 수 많은 신학교에서 교수를 하였다. 달라스 신학교, 리젠트 대학교, 웨스트민스터 신학교, 리폼드 신학교, 그리고 낙스 신학교에서 강의를 하였다. ‘사마리아 오경 서문 연구’로 박사학위(Ph.D.)를 받았다. 성경 원어에 대해 탁월한 지식을 소유한 그는 뛰어난 성경강해자이기도 하다. 이스라엘 게젤지역 유적 발굴 감독자로 참여했으며, 필드 답사 책임자로서 광범위하게 고대근동지역을 여행했다. 저서로는 『중급 히브리어문법』, 『Introduction to Biblical Hebrew Syntax』, 『Creation and Chaos』, 『잠언주석』이 있으며, 『Psalms as Christian Worship』, 『Psalms as Christian Laments』를 썼다. 또한 그는 『Expositor’s Bible Commentary』 시리즈의 구약 편집자이기도 하다.[1] 월키는 메노나이트 형제교회에 속한 부모님으로부터 뉴저지에서 태어났다. 휴톤 대학교를 졸업하고 달라스 신학교에서 석사와 Th.D.를 받았고, 하바드 대학교에서 Ph.D.를 받았다. 미국 복음주의 신학회의 회장을 역임하였고, 새미국표준성경(New American Standard Bible)과 새로운 국제 버전(New International Version),[2] 오늘날의 새로운 인터네셔날 번역의 위원이었다.[3]
