《Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers》는 1976년 11월 9일 셸터 레코드에 의해 발매된 미국의 록 밴드 톰 페티 앤 더 하트브레이커스의 데뷔 음반이다. 이 음반은 캘리포니아주 할리우드의 셸터 스튜디오에서 녹음되어 믹스되었다.

발매 및 홍보[편집]

처음에 이 음반은 미국에서 거의 주목을 받지 못했다. 영국 투어에 이어, 이 곡은 영국 음반 차트에서 24위까지 올랐고 싱글 〈Anything That's Rock 'n' Roll〉은 영국에서 히트를 쳤다. 거의 1년 동안 긍정적인 평가를 받은 후, 이 음반은 미국 차트에 올랐고, 1978년에 55위로 정점을 찍고 결국 골드에 올랐다.

〈Breakdown〉은 리드 싱글로 발매되었고 미국에서 톱 40에 진입했고 〈American Girl〉은 이 밴드의 대표곡 중 하나가 되었다.[10]
