The Very Best of the Eagles는 이글스의 베스트 앨범이다. 처음에는 유럽, 호주, 뉴질렌드에만 발매했고, 2001년 곡 순서를 약간 바꿔 재발매했다. 이 앨범은 발매된 나라에서 앨범 차트 10위 안에 들었음에도 불구하고 미국에서는 발매되지 않았다.

구성과 앨범 아트

The Very Best of the Eagles는 Desperado, Doolin-Dalton을 제외하고 모두 싱글로 발매된 17개의 곡으로 이루어져있다. 2001년 재발매된 버전은 이런 관계가 약하다.

두 버전의 앨범 모두 사막을 배경으로 한 앨범 아트를 사용하고 있다. 첫번째로 발매된 앨범 아트는 Gabrielle Raumberger이 디자인했으며, 두번째의 앨범 아트는 Jeri Heiden과 Barrie Goshko가 디자인했다.
