찬드라무카바르만은 카마루파 바르만 왕조의 왕으로, 카마루파 국왕 부티바르만과 비즈나바티 왕비의 아들로 태어나 542년부터 566년까지 카마루파를 다스렸다.

비지나나바티 여왕이 하늘이 (달처럼) (모든) 어둠을 몰아내듯 (모든) 어둠을 몰아내는 (모든) 예술을 (소유한) 찬드라무카는 이름에서 알 수 있듯이 매혹적이었다. 그는 보가바티와 결혼하여 차기 후계자인 스티아바르만을 낳았다.
