저지시티

저지시티(Jersey City)는 미국 동북부 뉴저지주에 있는 도시이다. 2019년 기준 인구는 262,075명이다. 뉴저지 주 동북부, 허드슨 강 연안에 위치한다. 뉴욕 맨해튼에 접하는 뉴욕의 위성도시이다. 17세기에 네덜란드 사람들이 건설했다. 본격적인 발전은 19세기 중엽 이후로, 뉴욕의 위성 도시로 교통의 발전과 함께 급격히 성장하였다. 각종 공업이 활발하고, 뉴욕 항의 일부인 항구가 있는 항구 도시이다. 맨해튼의 다운타운과 가까우며, 홀랜드 터널로 곧바로 연결된다. 지하철과 여러 버스 노선도 운행된다.
