코리아를 대표하는 시詩전문, 웹진『시인광장』[편집]

고도화된 최첨단의 과학문명 시대를 살아가고 있는 21세기가 시작되던 무렵이던 지난 2006년 3월에 우원호 발행인 겸 편집인이 정보의 바다 인터넷 공간에서 새로운 문학혁명(New Literature Revolution)을 제창하고, 아울러 21세기 인터넷 시대를 선도하는 시문학(詩文學)의 공간(空間)으로 시문학의 중흥(中興) 과 시문단(詩文檀)의 발전(發展)을 위한 새로운 변화와 창조를 도모하는 뉴 패러다임［New Paradigm]의 場으로서의 역활을 강조하며 '항해하다'라는 뜻의 Navigate와 '-하는 사람'의 뜻을 가진 접미사 -er이 만나 탄생한 이름으로 정보의 바다라고 일컫는 인터넷을 항해하는 사람'을 의미하는 대한민국 최고의 인터넷 포털사이트인 네이버(Naver)에 시인들과 독자들 간에 소통이 매우 활발하고 자유로운 블로그의 형태로 우리나라 현대시 100년 역사에 오늘날과 같은 정보화 시대에서 무한정 하이퍼텍스트로서의 기능을 완벽하게 갖춘 시전문 웹 메거진(Web Magazine) 시인광장을 창간했다.

한국 시문단의 역사에서 오프라인의 전통적인 문예지가 아닌 인터넷 잡지의 형태로서의 시전문 웹 메거진(Web Magazine)은 시인광장이 최초라는 점에서 그 역사적인 의미 뿐만이 아니라 문학사적 의의(文學史的意義) 또한 매우 크고 자부심과 긍지 또한 매우 크다.

웹진『시인광장』은 다양하고 모두에게 매우 유익하고 소중한 정보들을 특정한 Web 공간에 다양한 콘텐츠와 메뉴얼의 자료들을 색션별로 세분화된 카테고리에 구분하여 저장하였으며 무엇보다 중요한 역할은 거미줄이라고 불리우는 전세계의 인터넷 통신망을 통해 시간과 공간에 구애받지 않고 1년 365일 24시간 수시로 접근과 검색이 용이한 편리성 때문에 시를 공부하는 문학 청년들과 시인들은 물론, 평론가들 그리고 시를 사랑하는 독자들이 원하는 정보를 공유하는 시문학의 텍스트와 길라잡이 역할과 시의 박물관의 기능을 겸하면서 최첨단의 사이버 시대에서 시문단의 발전을 주도해나가면서 향후 한국시가 나아가야할 방향을 제시하고 있는 점일 것이다

2006년 3월 창간 당시에는 최초 편집위원 4명으로 시작하여 16년이 흐른 지금까지 90여명 가까운 편집위원으로 활동했고 2022년 5월 현재 16명의 편집위원들이 분야별로 역할을 수행하고 있으면서 한국 시문학의 정진과 시문단의 발전은 물론, 웹진 『시인광장』의 발전에도 지대하게 공헌하고 있다. 편집위원들의 창의적인 아이디어와 혁신적인 콘텐츠로 시간(時間)과 공간(空間)을 초월한 웹(Web)을 통해 국내외서 활동중인 시인들과 불특정 다수의 시를 사랑하는 독자들과 소통하며 한국시의 위상을 더욱 드높이고 있다.

창간 이후, 16주년을 맞이하는 동안 2022년 5월 현재 통호 157호를 맞이하며 2006년 3월 1일부터 2008년 11월 20일까지 우원호 초대 편집주간에 이어 2002년 12월 1일부터 2016년 8월 23일까지 김백겸 제2대 펀집주간, 2016년 8월 24일부터 2017년 1월 18일까지 윤의섭 선임 편집위원이 갑작스런 공백기에 비상대책위원장의 자격으로 권한대행 업무를 일시 수행하였으며 다시 2017년 1월 19일부터 2018년 1월 5일까지 김신용 제3대 편집주간, 2018년 1월 6일부터 2021년 1월 8일까지 김영찬 제4대 편집주간 그리고 2021년 1월 9일부터 2022년 5월 현재까지 김왕노 제5대 편집주간이 모든 주긴들을 중심으로 하여 이성렬 제1대 부주간과 김영찬 제2대 부주간, 송과니 제3대 부주간, 이령 제4대 부주간이 부주간의 직책을, 김륭 제1대 편집장과 박진성 제2대 편집장, 김예강 제3대 편집장, 조유리 제4대 편집장, 김윤이 제5대 편집장, 성은주 제6대 편집장, 김지율 제7대 편집장, 최형심 제8대 편집장, 임봄 제9대 편집장, 정다인 제10대 편집장, 이령 제11대 편집장 그리고 박진형 제12대 편집장 최규리 제13대 편집장이 운영진을 맡아 시인광장 발전에 주도적인 역할을 하였으며 강 순, 강희안, 구광렬, 권성훈, 권정일, 김광기, 김광호, 김 륭, 김명원, 김명철, 김미정, 김분홍, 김 산, 김성규, 김신영, 김옥성, 김유석, 김윤환, 김인경, 김지유, 김효은. 김후영, 故 김희준, 나금숙, 남기택, 문 숙, 문 신, 박성현, 박수빈, 박정희, 박제영, 박해람, 박현솔, 배세복, 변의수, 사윤수, 서영처, 손현숙, 심은섭, 신진숙, 양균원, 여성민, 오유정, 오홍진, 윤은경, 윤의섭, 윤지영, 이 선, 이성혁, 이송희, 이수진, 이영혜, 이용임, 아재연, 이제야, 이 필, 장무령, 전소영, 정원숙, 정숙자, 정한용, 정 호, 천수호, 최라라, 최정란, 한경용, 한명희, 함태숙, 허 민, 황정산)의 편집위원들과 故 박서영, 임희숙, 윤향기, 김명철 (以上 4名 포함)의 객원 편집위원으로 참여헤서 활동하며 모두 웹진 시인광장이 대한민국 최고의 웹진으로 자리매김하는데 크게 공헌헀다.

현재에는 김왕노(편집주간), 이 령(부주간), 최규리(편집장), 김효은(편집위원), 배세복(편집위원), 김광호(편집위원), 채종국(편집위원), 차현주(편집위원), 권성훈(편집위원), 하상만(편집위원), 석민재(편집위원), 송영탁(편집위원) 등의 편집위원들이 한층 새로운 뉴 패러다임의 시문학(詩文學)의 창달(暢達)에도 앞장서고 있다.

이와 같이 웹진 『시인광장』은 국내(國內)서는 물론, 해외(海外)에서 시간(時間)과 공간(空間)을 초월하여 진정으로 시(詩)와 문학(文學)을 사랑하는 많은 사람들이 365일 즐겨 찾는 글러벌 웹진(Gloval Webzine)이다. 이곳 최고의 시문학(詩文學)의 전당(展堂)에서 시인들과 독자들이 하나되어 시를 더욱 사랑하는 '시사랑' 운동을 널리 펼쳐나갈 것이며, 이를 계기로 '시사랑' 운동이 국내외로 날로 확대되는 확산의 기폭제가 될 것으로 확신하고 있다.앞으로도 웹진 『시인광장』은 21세기 인터넷 시대를 선도하는 시문학(詩文學)의 공간(空間)으로 시문학의 중흥(中興) 과 시문단(詩文檀)의 발전(發展)을 위한 새로운 변화와 창조를 도모하는 뉴 패러다임［New Paradigm]의 場으로서의 역활을 충실하게 수행해 나갈 것임을 국내외서 활동중인 시인들과 특히 독자 여러분께 약속을 드린다.

웹진 시인광장(Webzine Poetsplaza) 은 지난 2008년부터 김백겸 시인이 주간 직책을 맡아취 매일매일 숨가쁘게 변화하는 뉴미디어의 변화에 발맞춰 국내외서 활동 중인 시인들을 대상으로 시와 시인들에 관한 자로와 정보들을 소개하고 전달하는 월간지 개념의 일방적인 독주 체제에서 시인들도 직접 참여하는 쌍방향 소통의 채널 체제로 전환하여 웹진 시인광장은 종전의 월간지의 개념에서 일간지의 개념으로 그 체제의 변화를 과감하게 시도했다. 바로 그 시점에 혁신적인 변화의 일환으로 탄생한 것이 웹진 시인광장 선정 올해의좋은시상 제도의 시행이다,

웹진 시인광장 선정 올해의좋은시상은 해마다 1년 동안 웹진(Webzine)이나 무크 [Mook]紙 를 비롯하여 국내에서 발간되는 월간, 계간, 년간, 반년간 등의 여러 문예지를 통해 발표된 시인들의 신작시를 대상으로 매우 수준 높은 작품들을 엄선하여 올해의 좋은 시 500이란 이름으로 시인광장 홈페이지에 소개하고 500선에 선정된 시인들이 모두 참여하여 매우 투명하고 공개적인 방식으로 올해의좋은시상 수상자를 선정하는 방식을 채택하여 해마다 수상자를 결정하고 매년 1월 둘째주의 토요일에 서울 대학로에 위치한 예술가의집 2층 강당에서 시상식을 거행한다.

. 무엇보다도 시인들이 참여하고 시인들이 선정하는 의미있는 상이라는 점에서 그 의의는 매우 크다. 영예로운 수상자들의 명단은 아래와 같다.

참고로 필자가 「문학상의 그 진정한 의미(意味)와 의의(意義) 」라는 아래의 제목으로 지난 2018년 12월호에 소개했던 글의 전문을 인용해서 여기 다시 소개한다.

문학상의 그 진정한 의미(意味)와 의의(意義)

세계 3대 문학상(世界三大文學賞), 노벨문학상(Nobel Prize in Literature)과 맨부커賞(Man Booker Prize) 그리고 아카데미데공쿠르賞(Academie des Goncourt Prize)

전세계의 시인이나 소설가가 모두 선망하는 세계 3대 문학상(世界三大文學賞)이 있다. 노벨문학상(Nobel Prize in Literature)과 맨부커賞(Man Booker Prize) 그리고 아카데미데공쿠르賞(Academie des Goncourt Prize)가 바로 그것이다.

노벨문학상은 1895년에 알프레드 노벨의 유언에 따라 노벨 화학상, 노벨 물리학상, 노벨 평화상, 노벨 의학상 그리고 노벨 경제학상과 함께 제정된 상으로 이상주의적 경향을 가진 가장 주목할 만한 문학 작품을 집필한 뒤에 그 작품이 대중들에게 영향을 미치고 가치를 인정받은 작가에게 수여하는 노벨 문학상은 1901년 프랑스 시인인 르네 프랑수아 아르망 프뤼돔이 이 상을 처음으로 수상했다.

전쟁중인 제1차 세계대전‧제2차 세계대전 기간과 작품성을 문제로 총모두 7차례에 걸쳐 수상자를 선정하지 않은 것을 제외하고 2017년까지 스웨덴 한림원 선정위원회의 모두 110차례 심사를 통해 114명의 수상자를 배출했다.

그러나, 2018년에는 스웨덴 한림원이 미투(#MeToo) 파동으로 수상자의 선정을 2019년으로 연기했다. 이처럼 수상자의 발표가 연기된 것은 1901년 노벨문학상이 제정된 이후 처음있는 사례이다. 한편, 노벨문학상 수상자는 생존자를 원칙으로 정하는데, 1931년 에리크 악셀 카를펠트가 수상 검토 도중 사망해 사후 수여된 바가 있다. 1909년 수상한 여성 최초의 수상자는 스웨덴의 소설가 셀마 라겔뢰프이며 1913년 아시아의 최초 수상자는 인도의 시인 라빈드라나트 타고르이다.

맨부커賞은 지난 1969년 영국의 부커사(Booker)가 제정한 문학상으로 이 상은 영어로 창작되어 영국에서 출간된 책들 가운데 수상작을 선정하는 맨부커상과 영어로 번역된 영국에서 출간된 작품에 상을 수여하는 맨부커상 인터내셔널 부문으로 구분된다. 초기에는 영연방 국가 출신 작가들이 영어로 쓴 소설에 한해 후보를 정했지만 2014년부터는 그 자격을 바꿔 작가들의 국적을 무시하고 영국에서 출간된 영문 소설은 모두 후보가 될 수 있도록 정했다. 맨부커 인터내셔널 부문은 2005년 신설돼 격년제로 운영되다가 2016년부터 매년 시상하며 작가와 번역자에게 상을 수여한다.

맨부커상은 영어권 출판업자들의 추천을 받은 소설작품을 대상으로 평론가·작가·학자로 구성된 심사위원이 심사해 최종 후보작을 선정한 뒤, 다시 수상작을 선정하여 매년 10월, 맨부커국제상은 매년 5월에 시상한다.

1969년 영국의 소설가 퍼시 하워드 뉴비(Percy Howard Newby)가 처음 맨부커상을 수상했고, 1997년 인도의 여성 작가 아룬다티 로이(Arundhati Roy)의 『작은 것들의 신, The God of Small Things』, 1998년 이안 맥큐안(Ian McEwan)의 『암스테르담』, 등의 많은 수준높은 작품들이 수상작으로 선정되었다. 2003년 노벨문학상 수상자인 존 맥스웰 쿠체(John Maxwell Coetzee)는 1983년과 1999년에 맨부커상을 받으면서, 맨부커상을 두 차례 받은 최초의 작가가 되었다. 맨부커국제상은 알바니아의 이스마일 카다레(Ismail Kadare)가 2005년 처음 수상하였으며, 2016년 5월에는 『채식주의자 The vegetarian』라는 작품으로 이 작품의 작가인 한국의 소설가 한강(Han Kang)과 영국의 번역가 데보라 스미스(Deborah Smith)가 수상자로 선정되어 국내외서 크게 화제가 되었다.

그리고 아카데미데공쿠르賞은 프랑스의 작가 공쿠르 형제의 유산을 기금으로 하여 1896년에 '아카데미데공쿠르'가 발족하며 창설된 것이 그 시작이다.

그 유명한 프랑스의 작가들인 구스타프 플로베르(Gustave Flaubert), 에밀 졸라(Emile Zola), 알퐁스 도데(Alphonse Daudet)를 중심으로 구성되어 있었는데, 1903년부터 공공의 회(會)로서 발족하고 회원은 10명으로 늘었으며 이후로는 종신회원제로 운영되고 있다. 아카데미 종신회원 10명이 수상작을 정하는 프랑스의 문학상인 공쿠르상은 프랑스의 가장 권위 있는 상으로 정평이 난 상인데, 매년 12월 첫째 월요일에 파리의 가이용 광장에 있는 레스토랑 드 루앙에서 오찬회(午餐會)를 가진 후, 그해 1년 동안 발표된 우수한 산문작품, 특히 소설 가운데 뛰어난 작품을 선정하여 이 상을 수여하며 수상자에게는 상금으로 50프랑을 수여하였으나 2002년부터 유로화로 바뀌면서 10유로(한화 12,800원)로 결정되어 지금까지 시행되고 있다. 프루스트, 앙드레 말로, 시몬느 드 보부아르, 미셸 투르니에, 마르그리트 뒤라스 등 프랑스문학의 거장들이 공쿠르상을 수상하였거나 공쿠르상 수상을 계기로 주목받는 작가가 되었다.

이 상을 수상하는 작가들은 오히려 상금(賞金)보다 이 상의 명예와 권위를 존중하고 수상자로서의 커다란 자긍심과 함께 매우 높은 가치로 여긴다고 한다.

웹진 시인광장 선정 '올해의 좋은시상(The Best Poem of the year that selected by Webzine PoetsPlaza)'

웹진 『시인광장』에서는 우리나라 시문학의 발전은 물론, 시를 사랑하는 대다수 국민들의 좋은 시 읽기의 생활화를 위해 2008년부터 웹진 『시인광장』 선정 '올해의 좋은 시 1000'을 定하고 웹진(Webzine)을 포함해서 모든 문예지와 신문 등 온·오프 라인을 망라해서 당해년도와 전년도에 소개된 신작시에 한해 선정하고 있으며 그 무엇보다 독창적이면서도 작품성이 뛰어난 작품들을 위주로 엄선하여 매일매일 4편씩 웹진 『시인광장』의 홈페이지(http://www.seeingwangjang.com) 를 통해 소개하고 있다.

'올해의 좋은 시' 賞은 2016년까지 매년 웹진 『시인광장』 선정 '올해의 좋은 시 1000'에 선정된 작품중에 선정된 시작품의 작품성을 가장 주안점으로 평가하고 아울러 문학경력 그리고 수상경력 등을 공정과 균형의 원칙에 의해 종합하여 선정했다.

2010년부터 시작품 선정 대상에서 시집을 제외하고, 올해의 좋은 시 선정의 합당한 취지와 당위성을 더욱 제고하는 차원에서 오로지 신작시를 그 대상으로 선정하고 있으며 지난 2017년부터는 500선을 선정하여 소개하고 있다.

1차 선정은 홈페이지를 통해 소개한 웹진 시인광장 선정 올해의 좋은 시 500편을 대상으로 500편의 소개가 끝나는 시점에 500편에 선정된 시인들을 대상으로 추천시인으로 참여토록 의뢰하고 100편 단위 시를 각각의 시인이 읽고 10편씩 추천토록하여 多得票(다득표)에 의해 최종 본선에 오를 100편의 시를 선정한다. 이렇게 選定된 100편은 매년 '웹진 시인광장 선정 올해의 좋은 시 100選'이란 단행본 책자로 발간된다.

2차 선정과정은 다음과 같다. 1차에서 100편에선정된 100편의 시인 모든 분께 e-메일을 보내 1차 선정시와 마찬가지로 10편씩을 추천받아 多得票(다득표)에 의해 본심에 오를 10편을 선정한다.

그러한 과정을 거쳐 본심에 오른 10편을 대상으로 웹진 『시인광장』主幹을 심사위원장으로 하여 시단에서 인정하는, 定評(정평) 있는 2人의 평론가와 함께 실로 투명하고 공정하게 엄선하여 시문단과 독자들이 모두 인정하는 심사과정을 거쳐 최종 1편을 웹진 시인광장 선정 '올해의 좋은시(The Best Poem of the year)'로 선정한다.

매년 실시하는 1차와 2차 그리고 본선에 이르는 이 모든 선정과정들은 그 자료들을 그때그때 하나도 빠짐없이 기록으로 남겨 홈페이지에 소개하고 있다.

웹진 『시인광장』 선정 '올해의좋은시' 賞은 매년 실시하며, 그해 홈페이지를 통해 수상자를 발표한다.

수상자에게는 별도의 시상식과 출판기념회를 통해 상패와 200만원의 상금을 수여한다.

웹진 『시인광장』 선정 '올해의좋은시' 賞은 매년 그해의 시를 소개하는 처음부터 수상자를 선정하는 마지막 순간까지 현재 웹진 『시인광장』 올해의 좋은 시 추천위원들을 포함하여 시단에서 활동중인 동료 시인들이 시를 직접 추천하고 선정하는 제도로서 무엇보다 다수(多數)의 시인들에 의해 추천되고, 또한 추천된 시인들이 민주주의 방식에 따른 다수결에 의해 선정하고 시인들이 수여하는 진정으로 값진 상(賞)이라는 점에서 그 의미(意味)와 의의(意義)가 매우 크다.

그리고 무엇보다 국내외서 활동 중인 시인들의 수준 높은 시들을 영역英譯하여 웹진 시인광장은 한국시의 위상을 크게 높이고 홈페이지를 통해 한국시에 크게 관심있는 여러나라 시인들과 독자들 모두에게 소개하고 홍보하는 그런 차원에서 우원호 발행인을 비롯해서 이성렬 시인, 최정란 시인, 정한용 시인, 오민석 시인. 양균원 시인, 최형심 시인, 이필 시인 등의 웹진 시인광장 편집위원들이 국내시의 글러벌화 작업에 참여했다.앞으로도 웹진 시인광장은 홈페이지는 물론, 영역시의 모음집 단행본의 정기적인 출간을 통해 한국시의 세계화와 시문단의 발전에도 공헌할 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다할 것이다.

웹진 『시인광장』은 지난 2006년 3월 창간 이후 지난 2012년 제1회 신인상 공모제도를 통해 향후 21세기 한국 시문단을 이끌어갈 젊고 역량있는 신인들을 발굴하고 있다.

무엇보다 순수하고 열정적인 문학정신과 탁월하고 뛰어난 감수성, 독특하고 시대를 앞서가는 창의성을 함께 갖춘 패기있는 신인들을 선발하고 있다. 모든 당선자는 계속해서 재능을 발휘할 수 있도록 타 문예지와 공조하여 발표의 기회를 자주 가질 수 있도록 뒷바침해 주고 있으며, 또한 타 문예지에 소개되는 당선자의 작품들은 수시로 시인광장 홈페이지를 통해 지속적으로 소개하고 있다.

The world's major three literary awards, Nobel Prize in Literature, Man Booker Prize, and Academy des Goncourt Prize(Academie des Goncourt Prize).

There are three major literary awards that poets and novelists all over the world envy. The Nobel Prize for Literature, Man Booker Prize and Academy de Gongcourt (Academie des Goncourt Prize) are those.

The Nobel Prize in Literature is the prize that was founded in 1895 with the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, the Nobel Prize in Physics, the Nobel Peace Prize, the Nobel Prize in Medicine and the Nobel Prize in economics, according to Alfred Nobel's will and The Nobel Prize in Literature, which was awarded to the author who influenced and appreciated the public after writing the most remarkable literary work with idealistic tendencies, was first awarded by French poet René François Armand Prudhomme in 1901.

The Committee for Selection of Swedish Academy produced 114 winners through 110 screening by 2017 except that the winner was not selected seven times in total over the World War II period and due to the problem of literary value.

However, the Swedish Academy postponed the selection of winners to 2019 due to the #MeToo scandal in 2018. This is the first time that a winner's announcement has been postponed since the Nobel Prize was established in 1901. Meanwhile, the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature sets the survivor in principle, and was posthumously awarded in 1931 when Erik Axel Karlfeldt died during the award review. The first female winner to win the prize in 1909 was Swedish novelist Selma Ragelöf and the first Asian winner in 1913 was Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore.

The Man Booker Prize is a literary prize established by the British Booker (Booker) in 1969, and it is divided into the Man Booker Prize, which was created in English and awarded to the winners of the books published in England, and the Man Booker Prize, which awarded the prize to the works published in English. In the early days, writers from Commonwealth countries decided to nominate only novels written in English, but from 2014 they changed their qualifications to ignore the nationality of the writers and decided to make all English novels published in the UK candidates. The Man Booker International Division was established in 2005 and operates biennially. It will be awarded annually from 2016 and awarded to writers and translators.

And the Academy des Goncourt Prize that was founded in 1896 with the foundation of the Academy de Gongkur, funded by the legacy of the French writer Goncourt brothers is the beginning. Its famous French authors, Gustave Flaubert, Emile Zola, and Alphonse Daudet, were founded as a public society since 1903, and its members have grown to 10 members, and have since been in operation as a lifetime member. The French Literature Prize, a prize awarded by 10 Academy lifetime members, is recognized as France's most prestigious award. After holding a luncheon at De Rouen, a restaurant in Paris' Garage Plaza on the first Monday of every year, the award was selected for outstanding prose works, especially novels, and the prize was given 50 francs, Since 2002, it has been changed to euro, and it has been decided to 10 euros (Korean currency, 12,800 won) and has been implemented so far. French literary giants such as Proust, Andre Malraux, Simone de Beauvoi, Michel Tournier, and Margrid Duras have won the Goncourt prize or become a writer of great interest.

The Best Poem of the Year Prize evaluates the literary value among the works of poems in the 'Best Poem of the Year 1000' selected by the webzine PoetsPlaza. In addition, the literary career and the awards were selected in accordance with the principle of fairness and balance.

From 2010, we selected only new poems for the purpose of enhancing the proper intention and appropriateness of this year's selection of good poems and introduce 500 poems since 2017.

The first selection is made to select the best poems of the year, and at the end of the introduction of 500 poems, we ask the selected poets to participate as the recommended poet. Each poet reads 100 poems and recommends 10 poems, and selects 100 poems for the final round by multiple votes. The second selection process is as follows. We send 100 poems by e-mails to 100 poets who was selected from the 1st round. As in the first selection, we're recommended each 10 poems and select 10 poems for for the final round by multiple votes. .

10 poems that have been selected through such process, with the executive editor of the Webzine PoetsPlaza as the head of the jury, the final one will be selected as "The Best Poem of the year that selected by Webzine PoetsPlaza." which is selected byboth literary circles of poetry and readers through a transparent and fair selection process along with acknowledged two critics.

All of these annual selection processes, from the first, second and final round, have been documented at that time, without a single exception and are presented on the homepage.
