Sang-Hyeon Ahn[편집]

Dr. Sang-Hyeon Ahn (born 1971) is an astronomer working at Historical Astronomy Group in the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute. His research concentrates on Applied Historical Astronomy. He got his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Astronomy in 2001 on the transfer of Lyman alpha photons in thick neutral hydrogen media. His first publication was the identification of stars in Seong-Gyong (星鏡) with the Yale Bright Star Catalogue. He was awarded the Academic Achievement Prized of the Year 2005 by the Korea Space Science Association. He is an author of the books such as All About Korean Asterisms.
