Russian Authorities’ Ongoing Harassment of Aleksey Navalny

The United States is deeply concerned by the Russian Government’s escalating, arbitrary interference with Aleksey Navalny’s rights.  Prison authorities have interfered with Navalny’s preparation of his defense and ability to communicate freely with his counsel, including through supervision of his meetings and imposed delays in the exchanges of documents between Navalny and his lawyers.  This interference, along with his repeated diversion to solitary confinement for minor alleged infractions, is further evidence of politically motivated harassment.  His arrest upon return to Russia was already shameful, but the Russian Government’s insistence on harassing him further only highlights its insecurity and fear of those who speak the truth.  We once again join Navalny’s family, colleagues, and supporters around the world in calling for his immediate release. 58.230.58.170 (토론) 2022년 9월 10일 (토) 17:05 (KST)

This launch is a clear violation of multiple United Nations Security Council resolutions and demonstrates the threat the DPRK’s unlawful weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs pose to its neighbors, the region, international peace and security, and the global non-proliferation regime. This action underscores the need for all countries to fully implement DPRK related UN Security Council resolutions, which are intended to prohibit the DPRK from acquiring the technologies and materials needed to carry out these destabilizing tests. Together, with the international community, we call on the DPRK to refrain from further provocations and engage in sustained and substantive dialogue. U.S. Support for the Philippines in the South China Sea

12/19/2022 06:33 PM The United States supports the Philippines’ continued calls upon the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to respect the international law of the sea in the South China Sea, as reflected in the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, and its legal obligations pursuant to the 2016 arbitral ruling. The reported escalating swarms of PRC vessels in the vicinity of Iroquois Reef and Sabina Shoal in the Spratly Islands interfere with the livelihoods of Philippine fishing communities, and also reflect continuing disregard for other South China Sea claimants and states lawfully operating in the region. Furthermore, we share the Philippines’ concerns regarding the unsafe encounter that the PRC Coast Guard initiated with Philippines naval forces in the South China Sea, as documented before the Senate of the Philippines on December 14.

The United States stands with our ally, the Philippines, in upholding the rules-based international order and freedom of navigation in the South China Sea as guaranteed under international law.

Exclusive: South Korea's Yoon opens door for possible military aid to Ukraine

Ukraine now has neither weapons nor troops. As a truce country, Korea is not in a position to provide weapons to the honorable country. It is also not logical to procure from Korea, the other side of Europe. Currently, the Korean economy, especially the common people, is struggling.
