교향곡 6번 (브루크너)

안톤 브루크너의 교향곡 6번은 네 악장으로 이루어진 작품이다.[1] 작곡가의 일생 동안 이 악장 중 단 두 악장만 공개적으로 연주되었다.[2] 브루크너 교향곡의 많은 특징을 가지고 있지만 그의 나머지 교향곡 레퍼토리와 가장 다르다.[3] Redlich는 지지자와 비평가의 다소 당황스러운 반응에 대해 교향곡 6번에서 브루크너의 교향곡 작곡 스타일의 특징이 부족하다고 언급하기까지 했다.[4]


브루크너가 교향곡 6번을 작곡하기 시작할 즈음에는 그의 교향곡 중 단 세 곡만 연주되었다. 교향곡 3번 초연은 에두아르트 한슬리크로부터 매우 부정적인 평가를 받지 못했으며 매우 비참했다.[5]

브루크너의 교향곡은 많은 기술을 포함하지만 그의 교향곡 작곡의 확고한 특징은 그의 교향곡 레퍼토리가 진행되는 동안 거의 변화가 없는 단일 형식 패턴이다. 사실, 그들의 4개의 확장된 악장은 베토벤 후기 작품의 구조와 주제 처리에 빚을 지고 있다.[6] 교향곡 6번에서 이 형식적 계획에서 대규모 전환을 한 것은 브루크너가 평소의 대규모 3중 형식 대신에 2악장에서 소나타 형식을 사용한 것뿐이다.[7]

관현악법[편집]

6번 교향곡의 편성은 브루크너의 관습적이지만 독특한 기술을 따른다. 그의 다른 교향곡들과 마찬가지로 악보에는 극도의 기교의 흔적이 없고 직선적이다.[8] 6번 교향곡은 2개의 플루트, 2 개의 오보에, 2개의 클라리넷, 2 개의 바순, 4개의 호른, 3개의 트럼펫, 3개의 트롬본, 베이스 튜바, 팀파니 및 현악 섹션으로 구성된다. 브루크너는 일반적으로 솔로 섹션과 투티 섹션을 번갈아 가며 악기를 레이어링하여 질감을 제공하고 다양한 주제 그룹을 보여준다.[9]

교향곡에는 4악장이 있다.

  1. Majestoso (A major)
  2. Adagio: Sehr feierlich (F major)
  3. Scherzo: Nicht schnell — Trio: Langsam (A minor)
  4. Finale: Bewegt, doch nicht zu schnell (A minor → A major)
