English: The image was originally published in Literary Digest magazine on January 20, 1923, referencing the destruction of the town of Rosewood, Florida. Its veracity is somewhat disputed. Eva Jenkins, a Rosewood survivor, testified that she knew of no such structure in the town, that it was perhaps an outhouse. Rosewood houses were painted and most of them neat.
