세라살무스과(Serrasalmidae)는 카라신목에 속하는 조기어류과의 하나이다.[1] 최근에 과 지위로 승격되었다. 파쿠와 피라냐 등의 물고기를 포함하고 있다.
분포[편집]
세라살무스류는 대서양으로 흘러 들어가는 모든 강에서 서식하지만, 다른 지역에서 도입종이 발견되기도 한다.[2] 북위 10°부터 남쪽으로 남위 35° 사이에 분포한다.[3]
