Gameplay[편집]

In Brawl Stars, players battle against other players or AI opponents in multiple game modes. Players can choose between characters called Brawlers that they have unlocked through Boxes, the Brawl Pass, the Trophy Road, or purchased through the Shop to use in battles.[1]

Brawl Stars has a variety of different game modes that players can choose from, each one having a different objective. Players can invite friends to play with them up to the maximum team size of the game mode.[2][3]

In addition, it is possible to purchase skins with Gems or Star Points, or unlock them through the Brawl Pass, which will alter the appearance, animations, and/or sounds of Brawlers.[1][4]

Brawl Pass[편집]

In May 2020, a game update added a new reward system called “Brawl Pass”. The Brawl Pass is the game's version of a battle pass. When players compete in battles, they earn Tokens to progress along the Brawl Pass. Players can earn Boxes, Gems, skins, Pins (emojis that can be used during battles or in a team game room), Coins, Power Points, and Brawlers from the pass. There are two tiers of the Brawl Pass. All players have the free Brawl Pass by default. Players can purchase the premium Brawl Pass with Gems.[5]

Power League[편집]

Power League is a competitive ranking system added to the game in season 5. This replaced the Power Play system. Players unlock this system at 4500 trophies. There are a total of 19 ranks between bronze one and master. Each season lasts two months, with the exception of the first season, which would end at the end of season 5. At the end of a Power League season, players gain Star Points based on their rank.[6]

Players can enter Power League solo or with teams of three. The winner is decided on a best-of-three format and ties do not count. Each match starts the game randomly choosing a game mode and map. A leader from both teams choose a Brawler to ban. All six players in the match must play with a different Brawler. Progression is varied based on various factors including the opponents ranks.[6]

Seasons[편집]

Each season brings a new Brawl Pass and Power League. Each season is accompanied with new skins that are themed to the season.[7]

Season Period Description
Season 1: Tara's Bazaar May 2020 – July 2020 The Brawler Gale was introduced in this season's Brawl Pass. This Brawl Pass was the first in the game and it had 60 tiers.[5]
Season 2: Summer of Monsters July 2020 – September 2020 The Brawler Surge was introduced in this season's Brawl Pass. This Brawl Pass added 10 extra tiers, increasing the number of tiers to 70. This Brawl Pass lasted 10 weeks, longer than the previous Brawl Pass.[7]
Season 3: Welcome to Starr Park September 2020 – November 2020 The Brawler Colette was introduced in this season's Brawl Pass. The theme of this season was a gift shop. A new tutorial themed to Starr Park was introduced for new players. Pin Packs (which unlock three Pins per pack) were included starting in this Brawl Pass. A Moon Festival event was hosted in October 2020.[8]
Season 4: Holiday Getaway November 2020 – February 2021 The Brawler Lou was introduced in this season's Brawl Pass. This season was themed to the Christmas and holiday season. Supercell removed the ability to unlock Chromatic Brawlers from boxes before reaching tier 30 of the Brawl Pass. Additionally, pulling a Chromatic Brawler from Brawl Boxes decreases the chance of pulling another Legendary Brawler from a Brawl Box.[9] The Brawlers Edgar and Byron were also introduced in this season.[10]
Season 5: Starr Force February 2021 – April 2021 The Brawler Colonel Ruffs was introduced in this season's Brawl Pass. The theme of this season was outer space.[11][12] A Lunar New Year event was hosted in this season, with special background music and themed skins and pins.[13]
Season 6: The Gold Armed Gang April 2021 – June 2021 The Brawler Belle was introduced in this season's Brawl Pass. Although not a Chromatic Brawler, Squeak was also introduced in this update and was subsequently released in May. This season was based in the Wild West. This season also brought a new game mode called Knockout, where players must eliminate the opposing team to win.[14]
Season 7: Jurassic Splash June 2021 – August 2021 The Brawlers Buzz and Griff were introduced in this season. Buzz is the Chromatic Brawler of the season.

A special punk music event titled "Bad Randoms" is part of this season. A special main menu background and main menu music is played along with the season-themed background and music.

Challenges in this season include the Griff Challenge to earn the Brawler Griff one week early, the Vicious Bibi Skin Challenge to earn a skin for the Brawler, and the Latin American Masters Challenge to win a Mega Box.

This Power League season, season 3, brings two player profile icons and a skin reward for the Brawler Jacky. New game modes in this season are Basket Brawl, Hold the Trophy, Volley Brawl, and Trophy Thieves.[15]
