Passion Pay(열정페이)[편집]
Passion Pays is a neologism used by young people of the Republic of Korea.[1] Young job seekers have coined the term “passion pay,” which satirically refers to the reality that interns and apprentices are supposed to be passionate enough to put up with poor treatment.[2] It is also explain phenomenon. Such young, desperate job seekers have coined the term "passion pay," referring to the phenomenon that interns face low wages in hopes that their passion for the work could help brighten their prospects for decent jobs.[3]

The origin of the word is unclear, but it can be seen from the end of 2011 that the word was used mainly in the internet. In April, 2011, Han Yun-hyung explained the case of 'passion labor' in his book.[4] "Passion labor" is a labor that takes passion for oneself and accepts the harsh environment naturally.[4]
