GoogleTrans Gadget

Hi there,

Sorry about the English.

I have had a GoogleTrans gadget on the enwiki for almost a year now. If you position the cursor over a word and hit the SHIFT key it will popup the google translation of that word. It is like the google toolbar translation feature except that it will also handle selected text (< 500 characters). The gadget is currently running on 7 wikis.

The help page for the gadget is at:

There are instructions on how to port the gadget onto other wikis on the help page.

Good luck with your wiki. Anybody who is learning Korean by reading zhwiki articles could benefit from this gadget.

Romanisation put in GoogleTrans gadget

Hi there,

A new version of the GoogleTrans gadget is available at:

User:Endo999/GoogleTrans.js

If you wish to use this privately, or to refer to it in a kowiki gadget file use the following javascript command:

importScript("User:Endo999/GoogleTrans.js");

This new version has:

1) new languages

2) support for IE11

3) changing deprecated javascript calls to the new MW object

4) a Romanisation trial, romanised pronounciation will now appear below the translation. (This can be turned off by setting SCdoRomanisation=false; in the gadget code.)

상단으로 스크롤하는 버튼 소도구 추가

페이지 상단으로 올라갈 때 화살표 버튼만 누르면 상단으로 스크롤하는 화살표 버튼을 추가하는 기능을 위키백과에 활성화했으면 합니다. 현재 위키미디어 공용에서 소도구로 적용되어 있고 약 250명가량이 활성화했습니다. 한국어 위키백과에도 소도구로 적용하면 좋을 것 같습니다. 이 소도구를 기본값으로 적용할 지는 좀더 토론이 필요하겠지만요.

이 기능을 활성화하려면 다음 코드를 추가하면 됩니다.
