《3 Feet High and Rising》은 미국의 힙합 그룹 데 라 솔의 첫 번째 정규 음반으로, 1989년 2월 6일 토미 보이 레코드를 통해 공개됐다.[1] 프로듀서 프린스 폴과의 세 컬래버레이션 중 첫 번째로, 그룹의 활동 중 가장 평단의 찬사 및 상업적 성공을 이루어낸 음반이다. 음반의 제목은 조니 캐시의 노래 〈Five Feet High and Rising〉에서 따왔다.[2] 싱글 〈Me Myself and I〉, 〈The Magic Number〉, 〈Buddy〉, 〈Eye Know〉를 발매했다.

로버트 크리스트가우는 음반을 두고 "당신이나 다른 사람이 들어본 그 어떤 랩 음반과도 다르다"라고 언급하는 등[3] 저명한 평론가와 잡지 등에 의해 역사상 가장 위대한 음반 중 하나로 자주 꼽힌다. 1998년에는 더 소스의 "랩 앨범 100선" 중 하나로 선정됐으며,[4]2020년 롤링 스톤 역사상 가장 위대한 음반 500장 목록에서 103위에 선정됐다.[5] 2010년 미국 의회도서관이 "문화적, 역사적, 미학적으로 중요한" 녹음물을 선정하는 국립기록등기기부에 등재됐다.[6] 2023년 기준으로 미국 음반 산업 협회가 플래티넘 인증을 한 유일한 데 라 솔의 음반이다.[7]

데 라 솔의 나머지 음반 등과 함께 《3 Feet High and Rising》은 2023년까지 적법한 샘플링 사용에 대한 우려로 인해 디지털로 발매되지 않았다.[8]
