폴 모피(1837년 6월 22일 ~ 1884년 7월 10일)는 미국의 체스 선수 및 변호사였다. 살아있던 당시 최고의 선수로 여겨졌다. 뉴올리언즈에서 태어나고 사망했다.
22세에 체스에서 은퇴하고 법 쪽에서의 커리어를 시작했다.[1][2][3][4] Morphy never established a successful law practice, however, and ultimately lived a life of idleness, living on his family's fortune.[5] 하지만 변호사로 성공하지 못했고 가족의 도움을 받아 생활했다.[6]
