육괴
육괴(陸塊, 영어: landmass)는 하나로 이어져 있으며 바다에 의해 눈에 띄게 분리되지 않은 넓은 지역의 토지이다.[1][2] 이 용어는 대개 대륙이나 큰 섬처럼 바다나 대양에 둘러싸인 육지를 가리키는 데 사용된다.[3][4] 지질학 분야에서 육괴는 해수면 위로 확장되어 있는 대륙 지각의 특정 구역으로 정의된다.[5]
대륙은 흔히 서로 구별되는 육괴로 여겨지며, 해당 대륙붕에 속한 모든 섬을 포함할 수 있다. 여러 대륙이 하나의 연속된 육지 연결을 이룰 경우, 이들로 연결된 대륙은 하나의 단일한 육괴로 간주될 수 있다.[6][7][8]
