알스트로이메리아과는 속씨식물과 중 하나이다. 3~4개 속에 200여 종을 포함하고 있으며, 중앙아메리카에서 남부의 남아메리카에 이르는 아메리카가 원산지이다. 2003년의 APG II 분류 체계는 이 과를 외떡잎식물군 내의 백합목으로 분류했다.[1][2]

흔히 "페루백합"으로 불리는 알스트로이메리아속(Alstroemeria)는 대중적인 원예 및 정원용 화훼식물이다. 보마레아속(Bomarea)은 다양한 색깔의 종 모양의 꽃들 송이를 만드는 일종의 덩굴식물이다.
