실험경제학(實驗經濟學, 영어: experimental economics)은 경제에 관한 문제들을 연구하기 위한 실험 방식의 응용[1]이다. 실험에서 수집한 데이터는 효과 크기를 산출, 경제이론의 효력을 검사, 시정 구조를 조명하는 데 사용된다. 경제 실험을 할 때에는 일반적으로 현금을 사용하여 주제를 정한다. 이러한 실험들은 시장들과 기타 교역 체계들이 기능하는 방식과 까닭을 이해하는데 도움을 준다.

이 주제의 근본적인 측면은 실험 계획이다. 실험은 포장 시험이나 그와 반대인 연구소 환경에서 수행할 수 있고, 이는 개인이나 집단행동을 대상으로 한다.[2]
