물쥐속(Hydromys)은 쥐과 쥐아과에 속하는 설치류 속 분류군이다.[1][2] 3종은 뉴기니섬과 인근 섬의 토착종이다. 1종, 오스트레일리아물쥐는 오스트레일리아에서 발견된다. 물쥐속에서 가장 최근에 발견되는 종은 2005년에 기재되었다.[3][4]
