종개과(Nemacheilidae)는 잉어목에 속하는 조기어류 물고기과의 하나이다.[2] 유라시아의 시냇가 환경에서 주로 서식하며, 한국에는 종개, 대륙종개, 쌀미꾸리 3종이 분포하고, 아프로메마케일루스속(Afronemacheilus)은 아프리카에서 발견된다.
