게거미는 게거미과에 속하며 거미줄을 만들지 않는 거미 종류이다. 꽃에서 보호색을 띠고 기다리고 있다가 벌이나 꽃등에 등을 잡아먹거나, 돌아다니면서 무당벌레나 나비 애벌레, 매미충을 잡아먹는다. 게거미 이외에 거미줄을 만들지 않는 거미로는 농발거미, 늑대거미, 깡충거미 등이 있다.
