가나파티바르만은 카마루파 바르만 왕조의 왕으로, 전대 왕 칼야나바르만과 간다르바티 왕비의 아들로 태어나 서기 446년부터 470년까지 왕국을 다스렸다. 그는 야즈나바티와 결혼했고 마헨드라바르만이라는 이름의 후계자를 낳았다.
