테오필루스 게일(영어: Theophilus Gale, 1628-1678)은 영국 교육가, 비국교도, 목사, 그리고 신학자였다. 캠브리지 플라토니스트들과는 다르게 그의 철학 신학적 색채는 개혁적 플라톤주의 (Reformed Platonism)로 규정할 수 있다. 비록 플라톤주의를 차용하면서 신학을 하지만 그의 방법론은 절충주의 방법론으로써, 성경과 배치되는 플라톤 사상은 버리고 철학과 이성 보다 성경을 더 높은 권위에 두었다. 이러한 측면은 그의 주요 저작 중의 하나인 The Court of the Gentiles (1669)에 잘 나타나 있다.

젊은 시절

게일은 Kingsteignton, Devon에서 Bridget Gale의 아들로 태어났다. 게일은 문법 학교에 다니기 전 어린 시절 개인 교사한테 배웠고, 나중에 옥스포드 대학에 입학하게 되었다.
