회청조식물(灰靑藻植物, Glaucophyta)은 민물에서 서식하는 단세포 진핵생물 조류의 작은 분류군이다. 특징적으로, 세포 내에 "시아넬"(cyanelle)이라고 불리는 원시적인 엽록체를 지닌 조류(藻類)로 작지만 독립된 식물문(회청조식물문)을 구성한다.

또 다른 번역어인 "회색조식물"은 이름에 "회색"이라는 명칭이 들어 있다. 허나 세포의 색은 남조류와 같은 진한 청록색이다(사진 참조). 원래 회청조식물문(Glaucophyta)의 어원인 그리스어 glaucus는 지중해의 색깔(바다색, sea-green)을 표현하는 말이었지만, 이것이 영어의 glaucous(회청색, 청록색)를 거쳐 일본어로 번역되는 과정에서 회색이라고 번역되어 이 명칭이 굳어졌다.
