존 딕슨 카

존 딕슨 카(John Dickson Carr, 1906년 11월 30일 ~ 1977년 2월 27일)는 미국의 추리소설 작가이다. 출입이 불가능한 밀폐된 공간에서 사건이 일어나는 밀실 살인의 대가로 유명하다. 미국 펜실베이니아주 출신으로 하버드 대학교를 졸업했으며 1932년부터 1948년까지 영국에서 살았다. 대표작으로는 《모자 수집광 사건 (The Mad Hatter Mystery)》, 《세 개의 관 (The Three Coffins)》, 《화형 법정 (The Burning Court)》, 《유다의 창 (The Judas Window)》 등이 있다. 존 딕슨 카 외에도 카터 딕슨 (Carter Dickson), 카 딕슨 (Carr Dickson) 등의 필명을 사용했다.
