세발가락나무늘보는 남아메리카와 중앙아메리카의 나무에서 생활하는 포유류 무리의 하나이다.[1] 유모목에 속하는 세발가락나무늘보과(Bradypodidae)의 유일속, 세발가락나무늘보속(Bradypus) 나무늘보의 총칭이다. 현존하는 4종의 나무늘보로 이루어져 있다. 피그미세발가락나무늘보, 갈기세발가락나무늘보, 엷은목세발가락나무늘보, 갈색목세발가락나무늘보이다.
