| Aplodontia rufa (Rafinesque, 1817) |
산비버(Aplodontia rufa)는 현존하는 설치류 중 가장 원시적인 종이다. 북아메리카비버(Castor canadensis)[2] 또는 근연 종인 유라시아비버(Castor fiber)와 혼동될 수 있다.[3] 아플로돈티아(Aplodontia), 부머(Boomer) 등 여러 이름으로 불린다. 산비버과(Aplodontiidae)의 유일속인 산비버속(Aplodontia)의 유일종이다.[4]
