금단의 열매

금단의 열매는 욕망의 실체이며 누군가가 먹거나 취하는 것을 금하게 한 열매를 가리킨다. 금과(禁果)라고도 한다.
창세기에 나오는 금단의 열매[1]는 선악과로도 불리며, 먹으면 선과 악을 알게 된다는 선악과 나무의 과실이기도 하며 하나님께서 따먹지 말라고 명한 열매를 가리킨다. 아담과 하와는 에덴 동산에서 이 과실을 따먹었다.
